Special Features
In addition to the clinical training received, a year of research between PGY2 & PGY3 year is optional. There is opportunity to gain experience in international surgery. Most graduates pursue fellowship training in a variety of specialties, and some go into general surgery practice. Many residents already have or choose to start families during training, and we strive to maintain a supportive and healthy environment for all who choose to train at UVMMC.
