The University of Utah general surgery residency program is committed to training excellent general surgeons to be leaders in their ultimate area of practice. Our program is unique in that it offers several different opportunities during a professional development year including bio-innovation, clinical investigation, global surgery, surgical outcomes/health services, surgical education, and rural surgery in addition to traditional research. Come experience surgery (and life) elevated in Utah.
