Special Features
Saint Thomas has a rich history in surgical education; since the 1940s there have been residents associated with the surgical service here. Our residency is maturing and we have now successfully placed our 4th class of graduating residents in top-tier fellowship training programs. The mission for our general surgery program is to produce affable and technically excellent general surgeons who can practice independently the discipline of general surgery as outlined and governed by the ABS.
