High volume, high acuity, tertiary care center serving 29 largely rural counties. Full spectrum of complex care from ECMO to robotics for a diverse and underserved population in an academic setting. Includes a rural surgery rotation. Dedicated research year is utilized to advance individualized pursuits from bench research to advanced degrees. Train surgeons to be ready for practice, competitive for fellowships, and serve as leaders, patient advocates, and compassionate physicians.
