The UMass Chan General Surgery Residency focuses on training culturally-sensitive surgeons in surgical education, health care delivery, and research such that trainees are competent and confident at graduation. This is achieved through an experience with high clinical volume, across all specialties, in both the university and community settings as well as a focus on personal and professional growth.
