Special Features

The surgery residency program provides excellent exposure to all categories of procedures. There are no surgical subspecialty residents or fellows, allowing our residents to meaningfully experience operative cases that are not available to the majority of programs. The resident satisfaction with the program is reflected in a zero attrition rate over the last 15 years. The location of the main teaching hospital is on Lake Michigan in the most desirable neighborhood in Chicago.
