The Carle Foundation Hospital general surgery residency is a university-affiliated, large community hospital training program, working in concert with the ground-breaking Carle-Illinois College of Medicine. Our residents enjoy an atmosphere of camaraderie, as well as establish early professional relationships with attending faculty that permits for early autonomy. Carle is dedicated to equipping its graduates with the skills and knowledge that will position them well to be leaders in surgery.
