Special Features
Howard University Hospital has a rich history of training future surgeon leaders. We follow the national SCORE curriculum for didactics. We have an on-site ACS-certified simulation center. There is the opportunity to do dedicated research time after PGY-2 and matriculate back as a PGY-3 resident. Research during residency is supported by our Outcomes Center. Residents rotate at world-class partner institutions such as Johns Hopkins, Sloan-Kettering, and Children's National.
