The UAB general surgery residency program provides research opportunities, robotic surgery training, international training opportunities and more. As the only ACS-designated Level 1 Trauma Center, the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state, and the third-largest public hospital in the U.S., UAB provides training opportunities in a wide variety of complex cases.
