Fellows participate in a structured educational experience that will enable them to care for patients with substance use disorders, and for family members of persons with substance use disorders. They are specifically trained in a wide range of prevention, evaluation, and treatment modalities addressing substance use and addiction in ambulatory care settings, acute care, psychiatric settings, and residential facilities, and includes adolescent, pregnant people, and people with co-occurring pain.
