Special Features

Our mission--for residents to become leaders in academic psychiatry--leverages Mount Sinai's culture of flexibility. We have a wealth of raw materials that residents fashion into unique experiences with freedom to innovate. We also have two research tracks. Our physician-scientist track provides maximal protected research time for those who already have MD/PhDs. Our 7-year NIMH-funded residency + PhD program allows residents to earn a PhD in genetics/genomics, neuroscience, or clinical research.
