The dept of psychiatry at Harbor-UCLA is part of a large public health system. It enjoys support from both the LA DHS and DMH and is affiliated with the UCLA SOM. We serve over 3K adults and 800 kids mostly of lower socioeconomic standing. We see over 5K psych ER cases per year a diverse setting. Since 1966 we train among multi-ethnic/cultural staff and patients. Our multidisciplinary approach values the bio and psycho Tx. Training at Harbor always promises to be challenging and rewarding.
