BSWH has offered a residency in plastic surgery since 1991, with the 1st graduate in 1993. In the first 2 years of training, residents rotate with subspecialties including General Surgery, OMF Surgery, and Burn Recon. In the latter 4 years, residents are exposed to a diverse practice that includes a cosmetic surgery center, a free-standing Children's Hospital, Veteran's Hospital, and a cosmetic rotation a the Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute.
