The University of Florida ophthalmology residency program provides the best clinical ophthalmology residency experience in the nation. Our residents are very experienced and graduate at the top 1% of the nation in cataract surgery numbers. Our research division solves important clinical problems including creating viral vectors and studying diabetic retinopathy. Our residents are exceptionally well trained and match in prestigious fellowship programs if they decide to pursue further training.
