The neurosurgery program at UTSW is designed to teach excellent clinical judgment and technical skills to create an outstanding generation of neurosurgeons. Residents become competent in all core aspects of neurosurgery. Residents are given time to discover aspects of medicine beyond clinical training such as basic science research, clinical and translational research, public health, medical economics, leadership, or other relevant areas of their own interest.
