Residents have the ability to make significant academic contributions including publishing on average 30 papers and will have on average performed over 3000 operative procedures as a first assistant in various specialties by the time they graduate. Opportunities in trauma and peds ns in an inner city setting, PGY5 and 6 of the program is protected for research, electives, or enfolded fellowship. This program has a unique 1:1 mentorship model to maximize resident success.
