Special Features
One of the cornerstones of the program is the fellow-driven clinic at Lyndon B. Johnson Hospital. This formative experience beginning in the second year of training provides significant autonomy with supervision and prepares fellows for independent practice. In addition, fellows have protected time each Tuesday morning for "Academic Tuesday", a longitudinal didactic core curriculum that covers the full spectrum of hematology and medical oncology topics and also includes fellows' presentations.
