Virginia Tech Carilion IM residency is a university-based program in SW Virginia. Our flagship facility is the only tertiary care, Level 1 trauma center for over 1 million residents in the area. We offer 23 categorical and 3 preliminary 1st year positions annually. Obtaining fellowships, academic/private or hospitalist positions are the norm for our graduates.
