Vanderbilt is the only major academic tertiary center in our region which has a catchment area of nearly 5 million people. Our residents manage patients with complex medical conditions in an environment that emphasizes resident autonomy, resident wellness, bedside teaching, science, and a physiology-based approach to medicine.
