Cape Fear is an active trauma, stroke, and heart center enjoying top performer status in several of its disease specific certifications. With a unique patient mix, we provide quality care to over 140,000 patients per year at our primary site alone, placing us as the busiest hospital in the state of NC and one of the top twenty in the nation. On average, the internists at Cape Fear, to include 50 hospitalists, carry an average daily census of over 300 patients.
