The Mission of the LSUHSC Internal Medicine Residency Program is to produce exceptional physician leaders in clinical, administrative, and academic medicine. These physician leaders will provide excellent clinical care and service to patients, promote excellence in teaching principles of Internal Medicine to house officers and medical students, and participate in community outreach efforts to foster health education and literacy, and advance and promote wellness in the communities we serve.
