Special Features

UAB provides comprehensive clinical training with an emphasis on clinical reasoning in a supportive and caring learning environment. Our main medical center is a quaternary referral center for the Southeast, so we care for patients with a broad array of pathology. We have structured our program intentionally to provide diverse clinical experiences and progressive autonomy so our residents are well-prepared to manage any clinical situation upon graduation.
