Special Features

EVMS Family Medicine prepares residents for careers in all aspects of FM. We offer a hybrid training experience: showcasing features of both community-based and academic center-based programs. Our outpatient clinics provide care to the underserved urban communities of Norfolk and Portsmouth. The residency features experienced faculty, tailored opportunities for electives and scholarly activity, and a collegial atmosphere. We actively champion diversity and inclusion training and outreach.
