Special Features

Graduates of our residency are prepared to practice competently in resource-limited environments. As a PGY1 they rotate within two large systems: UT Health East Texas and CHRISTUS Health. Our PGY2 and PGY3 residents integrate into the Pittsburg Critical Access Hospital (CAH) medical community where we emphasize emergency medicine, rural clinic practice, CAH-inpatient care and community engagement. Residents support the local schools with didactics, sports medicine services and mentoring.
