Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) is located in the coastal city of Norfolk, Virginia. The area is rich which historical sites and scenic beaches! The EVMS emergency medicine residency program is a fully accredited PGY-I through PGY-III program. Since the program's inception in 1981, it has maintained full accreditation by the ACGME. In 1992, EVMS emergency medicine became the 26th academic department of emergency medicine in the United States and the first (and best) in Virginia!
