Special Features
Myrtle Beach is the 2nd busiest travel destination in the US and in 2023 ranked #13 for greatest places to live in the US. This brings a richly diverse and high-acuity patient population, with a particularly high volume of pediatrics. Residents train at the busiest Level 1 trauma center in the state and also gain experience in several busy free-standing ED's, one of which see pediatric volumes up to 40%. Ultrasound, Wilderness Medicine and Community Outreach our the highlights here.
