The Surgery Program at OLGMC started accepting residents in July 2024. It's a fully accredited 5-year program, taking 3 interns per year. Lafayette is in the Acadiana region of Louisiana. Clinical training occurs at 2 facilities, with OLG providing 90% of the experience. Ochsner Health offers comprehensive patient care, including Level 2 Trauma Service. Residents gain broad knowledge and superior surgical skills in general surgery, endocrinology, plastic surgery, and endoscopy over 5 years.
