Special Features
The Transitional Year program at University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown Campus prepares residents to succeed in their advanced residency training. The hospital is located in the Midtown region of Baltimore and is proud to provide inpatient and ambulatory care to an underserved urban population. The program is closely affiliated with the University of Maryland Medical Center and residents are taught by full-time faculty from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. The training experience is intentionally parallel to the PGY1 curriculum of the Internal Medicine program at UMMC Midtown Campus. Residents rotate in a wide breadth of training settings, from ICU to ambulatory, and from Emergency Medicine to General Surgery.
