Special Features
UC Davis is one of only two U.S. institutions offering combined psychiatry training in both IM/Psych and FM/Psych. Our five-year program prepares dual-board-eligible physicians to deliver integrated, whole-person care. Residents train in academic, VA, county/FQHC, jail, and community sites serving uninsured, underinsured, Medi-Cal, undocumented, and rural Sacramento Valley communities. Experiences include integrated behavioral health and med-psych clinics, consult-liaison/emergency psychiatry, forensic psychiatry, addiction/interventional psychiatry, and electives. IMPACCT offers unique opportunities to teach primary care residents integrated medicine, psychiatry, addiction, and rural/underserved care
