Special Features
Our Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program provides training across a diverse range of clinical environments, including a freestanding childrens hospital, a cancer center, a Veterans Affairs hospital, multiple ambulatory practice sites, and Tampa General Hospital, a large academic tertiary care medical center. Exposure to varied patient populations and clinical pathology equips graduates for careers in primary care, hospital medicine, or subspecialty fellowship training. A particular strength of the program is the combined Med-Peds clinic, where residents work with dedicated faculty mentors while managing their own patient panels, fostering continuity of care, autonomy, and longitudinal relationship with patients and families.
