Special Features
Harbor-UCLA offers high-volume vascular training in one of the nation's largest safety-net systems. We believe residents become excellent vascular surgeons by taking meaningful ownership of patients and developing operative independence early, with graduated autonomy throughout training and close faculty mentorship. Residents gain hands-on open and endovascular experience in aortic, peripheral, dialysis access, venous, trauma, and limb-salvage care. Our program emphasizes clinical judgment, technical excellence, systems-based practice, and leadership in serving vulnerable communities. The on-campus Lundquist Institute supports translational and outcomes research collaboration; trainees also benefit from UCLA affiliation.
