Special Features

Harbor-UCLA serves a diverse indigent population, with unique exposures to advanced imaging (CT and MR), pulmonary hypertension, congenital heart disease, women in cardiology and preventive cardiology. We offer specialty tracks in interventional/structural heart disease as part of the fellowship, and have both advanced cardiac imaging and interventional fellowships to complement the overall fellowship. We have specific expertise in structural heart disease (procedures and imaging) and congestive heart failure. Fellows graduate board eligible in echocardiography, nuclear imaging and cardiac CT. As a county hospital, we have high procedure rates (TEE, cath, structural, EP, etc..) and allow fellows to rotate at outside hospitals.
