Special Features
This is a rural program has a truly wonderful resident cohort who receive individualized instruction in evidence-based medicine to become osteopathically-minded family medicine physicians. Residents care for patients from our diverse local community in a small-town setting with the resources of a large healthcare system. Residents gain experience as part of a diverse treatment team, including students, physicians, pharmacists, and behaviorist. Some highlights: OMT is incorporated into each clinic day, a bi-weekly clinic dedicated to care of members of the LGBTQ+ community, and a lifestyle medicine curriculum with the possibility of board certification.
